1.       Add 2 cups of water to a medium saucepan at medium-high heat.

2.       If you like to have sweetened tea, then add 3-4 tsp of sugar or your preferred sweetener to make a sweeter tulsi green tea. 

3.       Watch if the water has simmered gently. Stir it seldom until the sugar mingles. 

4.       Remove the heated saucepan and keep it on your kitchen countertop. Then add 2 tsp of loose-leaf green tea. 

5.       Cover and steep the tea for 2-3 minutes which will make it perfect to drink. Don't steep it too long or else it can become bitter. 

6.       Strain the leaves with a sieve. Serve hot, with a squeeze of lemon if you like. 

Preparing green tea with tea bags

The preparation of green tea with assorted flavoured green tea bags are a bit different. For this, you have to boil a cup of water for every cup of tea you are preparing. When the water is gently boiled, turn off the heat and move on the saucepan from the burner. Keep the pan on the countertop of your kitchen. Next, dip the tea bags slowly into the hot water and let them steep for 2-3 minutes. Don’t boil the tea bags or leaves in water. Add the sugar of your choice and cherish the drink.
